Texture in Print: Additive and Subtractive Processes | Sat. April 18 | 1:00 to 5:00 PM

$80.00

In this workshop, participants will explore carborundum printmaking, a process that builds dimensional surface and tone directly on the plate using grit and binder. Participants will experiment with both subtractive methods (removing material from a fully coated plate) and additive methods (layering material to build depth and ink density). Plates will be inked and printed using traditional etching techniques. Suitable for beginners and experienced printmakers alike, this workshop offers an unconventional approach to building tone and surface. The result is a dimensional, tactical print rich in grit and surface variation. All supplies provided!
