If you’ve always wanted to get started with relief printmaking or just brush up on your skills, then this two-session workshop is for you! In this workshop, students will make their own prints using the reduction method. Pioneered by Picasso, the reduction method utilizes multiple colors on one block, allowing for freer handling and a very expressive result. We’ll cover transferring an image to the block, using the carving tools, inking the block, and the roles line and pattern play in creating impactful prints.
